The Student chamber of the Council of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) promotes the interests of students on the national level regarding the matters of legislature, financing, management and activities of the HEIs.
Being a part of the Council of HEI’s, SK RVŠ is the official representation of the university students and PhD candidates, established by the law.SK RVŠ is a partner for discussing the issues of doctoral candidates and the tertiary educational system in general with the Czech Rectors Conference, Parliament of the Czech Republic, the Government of the Czech Republic, responsible Ministries and other authorities of the public service.
The members are elected by the representative bodies (academic senates) of public, state as well as private HEIs. The SK RVŠ also cooperates with student organizations, we support their activities and promote their interests. Their activities are being coordinated also at international level. SK RVŠ is a member of European Students’ Union (ESU) and also Eurodoc. They participate in their regular meetings and we monitor the development of tertiary educational system abroad.
