SECURE2 Workshop for Researchers Across All Career Stages

SECURE2 Workshop for Researchers Across All Career Stages

Researchers from all disciplines and career stages are invited to participate in the SECURE2 workshop organised by Eurodoc, MCAA, and ICoRSA.

The workshop will take place on 18 May 2026, from 16:45 to 17:45, in Szczecin, Poland, with the possibility to participate online.

This SECURE2 dedicated event aims to raise awareness of the Research Career Framework (RCF) and explore how researchers can contribute to its implementation at the institutional level. The workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to discuss current developments related to research careers, mobility, and policy implementation within the European Research Area.

The SECURE2 project aims to pilot and implement recommendations for the European Framework for Research Careers (ERCF) in order to improve research career progression and mobility within research-performing organisations (RPOs) and research-funding organisations (RFOs).

The event is open to individual researchers across all career stages — including PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and senior academics — and welcomes participants from all scientific disciplines.

As the workshop focuses on advocacy and policy implementation, a basic understanding of institutional structures and research policy is welcome. However, early-stage researchers and first-year PhD candidates are also encouraged to participate in order to gain insight into the broader context of the European Research Area and ongoing initiatives shaping the future of research careers in Europe.

Participants joining online will be able to actively engage in the workshop activities through a dedicated online group connected with the on-site session.

To help us ensure an appropriate workshop setting, we kindly ask all interested participants to complete the registration questionnaire.
